There are some important problems or issues in life whose solution is just one step away. Other times, however, the point of equilibrium or the solution is actually many steps away from where we find ourselves. Nevertheless, there is always a first step that can be taken. Sometimes, the individual does not take this step and, as a consequence of that bad decision, other problems appear, which are usually at a greater and greater distance from being solved. This can lead to a growing sense of blockage, which only increases over time.
Wisdom lies in recognizing what the first step is, and impeccability consists in taking it. Ignorance is choosing to complain about problems or issues whose solution is two or more steps away, telling ourselves and others that there is no possible solution, that the situation is difficult to resolve or that we would like everything to be solved in a single step. Knowing what the first step is and avoiding it is called either cowardice or laziness.
It takes energy to get out of ignorance, cowardice or laziness. To obtain energy, one must move away from ignorance, cowardice and laziness.
A warrior knows what the next step is because, once they have made a complete assessment of the facts and possibilities, they gather the necessary resources, plan the moment and then, when they have everything ready, take the step. And as they put the necessary strategies into action, they no longer look back, because they know that other needs, problems or favourable options await them again that are one step or more away from being met, solved or harnessed.
