Everything is energy. Energy is the fabric from which existence is fashioned. It vibrates in an infinite and, nonetheless, finished dance. Everything is full, emptiness is non-existent. Each part of the universe is like a dense tapestry, woven with an immeasurable number of threads, the Emanations of the Spirit. This base material is infinite and abstract, but it has the capacity to cluster together at points of confluence that contain the possibility of manifesting space-time dimensions, which are essential in order for life to occur. The bubbles of reality are formed by groups of these primordial strings, joined in bands that, in turn, combine to give rise to clusters and conglomerates. Thus, the worlds of objects, such as the one we perceive and in which we live, are conceived and flourish. The universe is formed by the permutations of infinity.
The only thing that really exists is these unchanging strings of energy, which are inexplicably full of awareness. Our experience is a by-product, an interpretation, the result of the focus of attention in the places that emerge as a consequence of the collapse of infinity in the form of these conglomerates or points of confluence.
The individual is the machinery by means of which the possibility of experiencing life in scenarios of beings and objects that we call ‘worlds’ is manifested.
In Emoenergetica, Creation is also known as the Universal Field Matrix. According to Newtonian physics, a field is a collection of functions defined concerning a region of space. Therefore, we could say that the universal field is the collection of functions that can be defined within total existence itself, in each of the universe-spaces and past, present and future times. The universal field (functions) and the different space-times it occupies (structures) form the Universal Field Matrix, the Whole. In absolute terms, this would be a closed and finished system. However, from the point of view of focal relativity (location of the individual consciousness at a particular point within a particular space-time), it could be considered to be an open and developing system.
The Universal Field Matrix is like a gigantic orchestra that plays an eternal symphony. Each of its infinite strings vibrates with the same primordial sound. In the beginning was the Verb: now it continues to be and, in the future, it will be so. What we perceive as the fusion of space and time derives from a fluctuation of the void, of a breath of reality that gave rise to the Intent, which served as a stimulus to the Will, which awakened the Intelligence. Here lies the explanation of the ancient concept of Trinity.
The sensation of the present is only a local singularity of our perception. Simple fibers group together, creating, as a consequence, more complex resonances-vibrations. Our perception divides, classifies and integrates reality, generating a world of objects and experiences, of cognitive contents, divided between the external world and the internal world. It is perception that turns energy into information.
From a subatomic particle, to a DNA molecule, from a bacterium to a tree or to ourselves, from a stone to a planet or to the Sun, from a galaxy to a universe ... Each part of the whole is not more than an interpretation generated by focusing on a particular confluence of the Emanations of the Spirit, perceivable expressions of the primordial energy, small notes differentiated from the universal symphony and yet inextricably linked to it.
On a fundamental level, everything is alive or belongs to something that is. Life is a way of naming the perceptual experience belonging to a point of confluence (system) when relating to itself and with its environment. There is only one singularity in which the environment and "itself" coincide, the Totality, the Spirit, the Universal Field Matrix. Unfathomable for our consciousness and only intuitive by means of our capacity to imagine, the infinite and eternal Totality perceives itself through its parts in perishable forms and, thus, is constantly related to them, since everything that exists must necessarily be within the Totality.
Life specifically manifests itself through the exchange of information-energy between a point of confluence that is conscious of itself (individual) and the environment with which it relates (world). This symbiotic relationship generates perception, reaction and movement (experiences).
Our magic maneuver as living entities consists in transforming that infinite abstract from out there into a coherent and stable construction, composed of a multitude of interdependent cognitive objects. We incarnate in a body that is connected to the environment; we are a self that lives in its own internal world and relates to the external world from there. Product of these interactions, something changes, both in us and in the universe, and yet everything remains the same in infinity. Energy in its deepest essence is immutable and unknowable and, nevertheless, its expression in the world is always a carrier of changes and dynamism that, in turn, allow the phenomenon of perception.
We human beings possess a specialization in our perception that is quite particular. We have the ability to cognitively encapsulate each of the objects that we perceive in the external world through the act of naming them with one or more words. Thus, we create an image of reality, a replica that we immediately place in our internal world. In this way we build the inventory, assigning a place within it to each of the elements or cognitive objects that we know. Once there, we link them and make sense by means of explanations, which are likewise elements of the inventory. This is the expression in the inner world of the Tonal, the aspect of reality in which there can be concreteness and order.
In Emoenergetica, language is the sixth human sense, along with sight, hearing, taste, smell and kinesthesia (or sense of corporeality). The framework of the inventory is constructed from language and complemented by the rest of the senses.
The level of thoughts and imagination – representation – is one of the five classes of attention in Emoenergetica, creating and at the same time nourishing the inventory. We take that world of energy out there and with it we build an internal world. We relate so intensely to this reflection that a particular characteristic of our cognitive system is precisely the enormous weight that thoughts and beliefs have in our lives.
Our ability to focus attention produces perceptions, thoughts, feelings, reactions and words that nourish the inner world. In turn, it is this interiorization that allows us to experience the process of identity or selfhood.
A living being, like any other part of the Absolute, can only relate to itself and the external world by losing or gaining energy-information. This is the only option that exists, being the engine in the processes of evolution or involution. If a being loses energy continuously without renewing itself adequately, its own structure would weaken until it disappears-transforms-fragments into other smaller confluence points with different characteristics and functions. If it gains energy permanently, it would be forced to modify its structure in order to assimilate the energy-learning, experiencing a growth (continuity of identity) or a metamorphosis (total change in identity). If the structure were resistant or unable to make changes, then it could not assimilate the incoming energy. This would cause a drastic increase in entropy, leading the system to fragment-disappear. When there is a more or less proper balance between energy gains and losses, the system has a certain stability, provided that entropy does not increase in a dangerous way.
As I have said, the fundamental characteristic of life-existence is perception, since perception is what causes the emergence of a concrete option within the sea of possibilities associated with a given place and time. In this context, the entire existing universe should be a living being that perceives – just like the beings that inhabit it. Advanced functions such as nutrition, respiration, reproduction, communication, etc., are manipulations of energy whose aim is to maintain complex and evolved cognitive-perceptual symmetries in a world of interactions. Perception relates the observer to the observed. We could then consider, for example, that when two electrons meet they necessarily exchange a certain amount of information-energy, since they repel each other and a change in their trajectory-movement subsequently occurs due to the natural laws to which they are subject, since they are of the same electrical polarity (negative). Could this be an expression of life-perception? On the one hand, yes, but in Emoenergetica there is a distinction between individuals or living systems and inanimate objects through the classes of attention.
Perception and manifestation are in charge of connecting the external and inner worlds. Automatisms are the only class of attention found exclusively in the external world, which is why all inanimate objects (without anima) fall into the category of automatons, not having either an inner world or an selfhood. For example, atoms, electrons, photons and the rest of the subatomic particles are automatons, although so are the body and the automaton part of the mind, and so are space and the universe themselves. Memory and representation inhabit exclusively the inner world, the abode of the self, so that they can only be found in living beings. The five kinds of attention (perception, manifestation, automatism, memory and representation) are needed for reality to emerge. Later, I will develop the five classes of attention in the corresponding chapter.
It is easy to realize the enormous variety and the different gradients of complexity existing within the Universal Field Matrix just by looking at what we already know. The simplest systems are always part of more complex ones. The same thing happens with living beings: we are individuals, but our body is made up of cells, which, in turn, are also beings. It is quite possible that, in the same way that a cell is not able to realize that it belongs to an individual with a much greater degree of complexity, we too are part of a much larger individual with a level of intelligence that is, from our own point of view, unimaginable. The characteristic of individuality is always relative-subjective. Subjectivity in Emoenergetica refers to the mechanism by which energy-information is processed in an inner world under an experience of selfhood. The points of confluence within the Universal Field Matrix in which there is a focus of attention or selfhood are called living individual matrices.
In Central American nagualism, the problem of distinguishing living beings from inert objects in a completely empirical way was resolved. By the use of their expanded perception, the naguals discovered a structure, an organ in the subtle body of living beings, which did not exist in inanimate objects or in the bodies of deceased beings. This organ, located on the surface part of the luminous cocoon, was called the assemblage point. They observed how perception was "pieced together" in it through a process of alignment and intensification of the bands outside the luminous cocoon with those located inside it. Although the luminous cocoon, as its name suggests, shines, the assemblage point stood out as being impregnated with a particularly intense luminosity in comparison with the rest of the subtle structures. It was concluded that this special glow was neither more nor less than consciousness. They determined that the points of confluence in the Universal Field Matrix that presented this organ in their luminous cocoon had a sense of being, of oneself, whether it was a plant, an animal, a human being or an inorganic being: they were all living beings. They even saw a gigantic structure in the subtle body of planet Earth, its assemblage point. This led to the conviction that our planet is a being that is self-aware.
Life is a fluctuation, a tremor in the intensity of the void. The Universe only offers us different levels of intensity-experience to choose from. Living beings pass cyclically through the phases of conception, gestation, birth, life, death and transition. In each of these phases they have different degrees of freedom and thus they perceive, choose, experience and have the opportunity to enrich their own awareness of being through the process called learning. Life is the definitive expression of energy, the relationship between the internal world and the external world, the tonal and the nagual, the automaton and the selfness, a phenomenon in which the abstract awareness becomes concrete, generating action potentials through flows and sequences of experiences. You are energy, you are a being.
